Marzeri Milano receives recognition at the 13th annual PETA Vegan Fashion Awards in Germany.
We are honored to announce that Marzeri Milano has been awarded Best Vegan Men's Shoes at the PETA Vegan Awards 2026.
Now in its thirteenth year, the PETA Vegan Fashion Award recognizes brands and designers who choose to create clothing, footwear, and accessories without animal-derived materials. This year's fifteen winners span categories from activewear to denim to leather alternatives, representing a growing movement within the fashion industry.
For Marzeri, this recognition arrives as confirmation of something we have believed since the beginning: that Italian craftsmanship and ethical materials belong together.

WHAT THIS MEANS
When we founded Marzeri, we faced a simple problem: elegant men's shoes, handcrafted in Italy, made without animal materials, did not exist. The luxury footwear industry had not yet imagined that someone might want all three.
We spent years developing relationships with Italian material suppliers who were willing to invest in plant-based alternatives. We worked with artisans in the Marche region who approached these new materials with the same care they had always brought to traditional shoemaking. We learned what worked and what did not.
This award recognizes that effort. More importantly, it introduces our work to people who share our values but have not yet found us.
THE WORK CONTINUES
Recognition is encouraging, but it does not change the work itself. We remain a small house, producing limited quantities of handmade footwear for people who care about how their shoes are made.
Our materials continue to improve. Our artisans continue to refine their techniques. Our commitment to producing in Italy, without animals, without compromise, remains constant.

ABOUT THE PETA VEGAN FASHION AWARD
The PETA Vegan Fashion Award has been presented annually since 2014 by PETA Deutschland, recognizing fashion companies and designers who consciously choose to produce animal-friendly clothing, shoes, accessories, and bags.
Winners are selected based on their use of innovative, animal-free materials and their commitment to ethical production practices. The 2026 awards recognized fifteen winners across categories including footwear, accessories, activewear, and emerging designers.
