WHAT YOU NEED

Before starting, ensure you're wearing socks that fit well or the type of socks you plan to wear with your new shoes. To obtain the most accurate measurement, it's advisable to measure your feet at the end of the day. Gather the following items:

a ruler
a plain A4 paper
a pencil
a wall or flat surface to lean against

Step 1

DESIGN

To begin, position the paper on the floor, ensuring that it is aligned with the wall and secure it to the floor with tape to prevent it from moving.. Then, rest your heel on the paper, pressing it against the wall.

Capturing the perfect outline of your foot may seem like a simple task, but achieving absolute precision may require a few tries. Holding the pencil vertically (very important at a 90° angle…remember 3mm is only half the size difference), expertly trace the outline of each foot.

Step 2

DRAW

Next, use your ruler to outline a rectangle around your pencil sketch as demonstrated. The horizontal line should extend to the tip of your longest toe, while the vertical lines should align with the inner and outer edges of your foot.

Add two additional lines to create a cross. Draw the first line vertically from the bottom of the paper (where it was aligned against the wall and indicates your heel) to the horizontal line at the top of the rectangle (which touches your toes). For the second line, draw it horizontally to connect the two vertical lines of the rectangle, representing the widest part of your feet.

Step 3

MEASURE

Measure the two lines forming the cross in metric units. The longer line (vertical) indicates your foot length, while the shorter line represents your foot width. Be sure to measure both feet. When providing your measurements, please include the measurements for both feet.
